Terms & Conditions

CREATIVE KEYBOARDS – TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions apply to all Creative Keyboards Music Classes for pupils whose applications are submitted and consented to by a parent or guardian. By enrolling your child, you agree to abide by the following terms. Creative Keyboards reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time; any changes will be communicated in advance.

1. Class Times & Fees

Class times and fees are published on our website and confirmed in your booking confirmation email. Applications are only deemed accepted upon receipt of either:

  • Full payment of fees, or
  • A non-refundable deposit of €50 (payable via bank transfer or card; see bank details under Alternative Payments).
  • Any balance due must be paid no later than 5 working days before the first class.

2. Payment Methods

Accepted methods: Debit Card, Visa Debit, Credit Card, or Bank Transfer.

3. Acceptance & Contract

Written confirmation from Creative Keyboards confirming your child’s allocated place establishes a contract for the provision of teaching services. This contract automatically renews for the following term unless cancelled before the end of the current term.

4. Fees & Cancellations

Your place is secured only when payment is received. Refunds are available up to 5 working days before the term start date. After this date, refunds are not available, but in the case of illness, classes may be deferred to a later date at Creative Keyboards’ discretion.

5. Missed Classes

If Creative Keyboards cancels a lesson, parents will be informed via email and the lesson will be made up at the end of the term.

If the pupil or parent cancels, no make-up lessons will be given.

If your primary school is closed (including public holidays), Creative Keyboards will also be closed.

Bad Weather: If the venue closes due to a severe weather warning, these classes are forfeited as they cannot be rescheduled.

6. Conduct & Attendance

Creative Keyboards reserves the right to refuse or remove students from classes for reasons including unsuitability, persistent disruption, or other issues at our discretion.

7. Staff & Timetable

We reserve the right to change the timetable or assign different teaching staff as necessary.

Fees are reviewed annually in September.

8. Health & Safety

Parents or guardians must inform Creative Keyboards of any significant medical conditions, allergies, or special needs before the start of term. Participation is at the parent or guardian’s own risk. Creative Keyboards’ insurance covers class time only and applies only in cases of gross negligence.

9. Pick-Up & Supervision

Junior & Senior Infants: Collected from classrooms and escorted to their keyboard class.

First Class & above: Make their own way to class.

At pick-up, children will only be released to a recognised family member, friend, or minder.

Parents must be punctual. For emergencies, contact Krisha at 087 202 2505.

Written permission is required if your child is allowed to walk home alone.

10. Personal Belongings

Students are responsible for their belongings. Creative Keyboards is not liable for lost or damaged items.

11. Photography & Promotion

Photographs or videos may be taken for promotional purposes. If you do not wish your child to participate, please notify Creative Keyboards in writing.

12. Data Protection & GDPR Compliance

Creative Keyboards collects and processes personal information (e.g., contact details, medical information, photographs) solely for the purposes of delivering our music classes and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students.

The lawful basis for processing is contractual necessity (to provide the service you have enrolled for) and/or legitimate interest (for safety and promotional purposes).

Photographs and videos of students may be taken for promotional use (website, social media, printed materials) only where we have obtained parental consent. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us in writing.

All personal data is stored securely and will not be shared with third parties, except where required by law or for safeguarding purposes.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your data
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Restrict or object to the processing of your data
  • Request transfer of your data
  • To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@creativekeyboards.ie.

13. Communication

Parents are encouraged to briefly discuss progress with teachers at the start of class (not during another group’s lesson). For more detailed discussions or concerns, contact 087 202 2505 or info@creativekeyboards.ie immediately after the class/incident in question (not at term end). Parents should be familiar with the school’s Child Protection Policy.
